Patch-clamp Electrophysiology

Off

Proper functioning of many cell types depends on their ability to regulate and respond to electrical signals. Patch-clamp electrophysiology allows precise measurement of this activity at the level of individual cells, offering detailed insight into their physiological properties. In our group, we use patch-clamp techniques to study how the electrical behavior of cochlear cell types change with age, following noise exposure, or under genetic manipulation. These techniques will enable us to uncover the cellular mechanisms that contribute to hearing impairment and identify potential targets for intervention.
